Hi there,
I've built the tube screamer based on your schematic, but something is not right. The output volume is way lower than the input one(should not be this way since there is an Op Amp). I used on some resistors close values to those specified by you, but something is not right. If you can help me, at least with some ideas, please send me an email.
Thanks

Hi Markov,
It's not clear for me the difference between a pot type A or B.
In Italy A is a log potentiometer, and B is linear. But in USA is the opposite.

Can you help me in tubescreamer scheme and specify the potetiometer?

Thanks

Dear Seba,

Thank you for asking! You are welcome to publish your modified versions. Actually, that is exactly what I am hoping people will do with the material on this site so I am pleased to hear about your work.

When you post your stuff, please post links on the appropriate pages. And if you are using Wordpress, a trackback would be nice, too.

Cheers, Paul/GM

Hi
First of all thank you for share your designs so unselfishly.

A while ago I modified your eagle layout of the Tube Screamer in order to put some mods there. And I'd like to publish it on my new diy blog. So I'm asking for your permission to do it.

Also i'm working in a Dr Boogey and I'll make some mods too, like two footswitchable channels, modify the tone stack and maybe more. So I'm goiing to modifiy your eagle layout and I'd like to publish it to.

My e-mail is sebafehlandt@gmail.com

Thank you and thanks again for sharing all your knowledge

I'm thinking of building my own clone tube screamer, I'm interested to buy the pcb.
Do you provide it?
If not where can I get it?

HI again. I just finished the Tubescreamer from your layout and Schematic. Plugged it in on bypass and heard the guitar...but when I switched the FX on no sound came out. What could be wrong??. I did solder together a tracing probe with a .1uF cap to tip of guitar cord and the shield to the ground tab on the plug socket. I plugged the cord to the amp and the ground to fx ground and put the amp on low volume but cannot hear a thing??. Am I using the tracer the wrong way??. Should I plug the guitar into the fx first??.
Thanks a million you have a really good website and I hope you have found a home to settle into. Right now I have my daughter, son-inlaw and 3 kids and 3 cats to boot....they sold and are inbetween homes :). It could be worst!! I lost my hobby room to them but I do love them alot.
God bless.
