Hi Paul, what happened to deluxe memory man project? that would be fun to build! :) also, what was the price you got from olimex for your three boards? I remember back in my student days I ordered a PIC-dev board from them, excellent quality no problems whatsoever.

Now there's a good idea! All we need is an online clearing house for cheap electro students. ;-)

I found some electro student who makes those for a REALLY small fee. I can send him the files in any given format(even jpeg) and he still makes it. This dude even drills the holes, cuts the boards and cleans them. Ya gotta love student labour:) On the other hand, my friend tryed a certain local company, that would manufacture his pbc boards, and alldow he was very pleased with the results, he paid about 250% more for it then I did.

Olimex has just recently renovated their site and things have moved around a bit. If you click on the "SINGLE SIDE" or "DOUBLE SIDE" buttons, you will see that the small panel is 160mm x 100mm and the large panel is 320mm x 200mm.

I used the double-sided small panel and they fit 3 boards on that one panel and cut them up into separate boards.

Yeah, I almost mentioned what little I knew of your experiences. Thanks for mentioning them. Futurlec can be slow, right? Olimex seems to run on a clear schedule.

On the other hand, Olimex might not do as much interaction over the board as you got from Futurlec. Didn't they send you proofs of your board? Olimex does not send back proofs for you to check. They just make sure your clearances, drills, and widths are within spec.
